Clay is one of the most popular ways to relax and create. Kneading a ball in your hand is not just about shaping and playing. Namely, clay is a widely recognized therapeutic tool that helps us eliminate psychological, physical, and speech blockages. It allows us to express ourselves naturally and authentically.
As a natural material, clay inspires a feeling of grounding and connection with nature. It is an exceptional means of relaxation and soothing. It encourages non-verbal communication and free expression of feelings and emotions, thus relieving us of the ever-present stress.
WHAT TO EXPECT
No prior knowledge is required to attend the workshop. We will learn a handbuilding technique which brings our hands in direct contact with the material.
Each individual will be able to enjoy kneading and squeezing the clay to experience relaxation and to establish a special bond with the material, indulge in the harmony of its earthly vibrations and positive effects. The finished products will be fired once.
Good music, a homely atmosphere, tea, and snacks will be provided throughout the workshop. We will finish the workshop by cleaning the tools and bringing the studio back in order.
COLLECTING YOUR CREATIONS
Your creations are normally finished within four weeks after the workshop. We will inform you by e-mail when they are ready for you to pick them up. You can collect them at our studio or we can send them to your home by post (postage not included).
We kindly ask you to collect your creations within four weeks after receiving our notification. Unfortunately, due to limited storage, we are unable to store your products for longer.
CANCELLATION PERIOD
Workshop registrations can be canceled on one week’s notice. Postponing a reservation to another date can only be done once.
WORKSHOP INCLUDES
Full use of the studio, all materials, tools, and accessories. The price also includes one high-temperature firing. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and some comfortable clothes suitable for “dirty” work.
